Trees and Stormwater Study Community Meeting on March 22

The City of Norcross was selected by the Green Infrastructure Center, based out of Charlottesville, VA, to participate in a study that will help identify areas where cities can utilize their urban forests as a vital tool for managing and reducing stormwater runoff.

We need community input on:
- How well treed is their neighborhood, are there opportunities to plant more trees?
- What tree-related management items do they feel can be improved in the city?

Community members will have the opportunity to review maps of the city and provide suggestions on what is important to them.

A 40-minute Power Point presentation will be presented by GIC on project titled: Protecting and Restoring Urban Tree Canopy for Stormwater Management.
