Absentee Voting
How to Receive and Submit an Absentee Ballot
A completed application form must first be received before an absentee ballot is issued. Please call the City Clerk's Office at 678-421-2035 and request that an application be mailed to you, or download the form and fax (770-242-0824) or mail it in to this office at:

City of Norcross
Attn: Elections Division
65 Lawrenceville Street
Norcross, GA 30071

An absentee ballot application may be submitted up to 180 days prior to the election. The ballot will be mailed to you and must be received back by the election superintendent, addressed to:

Absentee Ballot Clerk
65 Lawrenceville St.
Norcross, GA 30071

no later than 7 p.m. on election day.

Important Information
Please be aware of the following information regarding absentee voting.

Residence Eligibility
You may have a City of Norcross address, but that does not necessarily mean that you are eligible to vote in a city election. You must reside in the corporate city limits of the city to be able to vote in a city election. If you are in doubt, please contact us at 678-421-2027 to find out if you do officially reside within the city limits.

Change of Residence
If you move outside the city or county in which you are registered to vote within 30 days of an election, you may vote in your old precinct for that election. If you move outside the city or county in which you are registered to vote in excess of 30 days prior to an election, you have lost your eligibility to vote in the city or county of your old residence. You must register to vote in your new county of residence. You will be assigned a new voting precinct and polling location. Remember, if you don’t register to vote by the deadline, you cannot vote in that particular election.

Other Elections
Only municipal elections are held at City Hall in Norcross. You will have to go to your regular county polling place to vote in any other election. If in doubt about where to go, contact Gwinnett County Voter Registration or by visiting the Secretary of State Polling Locator. To see a listing of the 2015 County advanced voting polling locations click here.
