The goal of the Community Development Department is to promote and protect the City through the use of planning and development practices while providing professional and efficient customer service.
The Community Development Department is responsible for working with the citizens of Norcross, the development community, Boards and Commissions and the Elected Officials while managing current and long-range planning, land development, building construction, and economic development.

The work consists of the furnishing of all materials, labor and equipment for the complete construction of the Streetscape Project, including, but not limited to, erosion control, maintenance of traffic, grading, excavation, subgrade preparation, concrete surface course, sidewalks, lighting, signs, pavement marking, landscaping and grassing.
