The goal of the Community Development Department is to promote and protect the City through the use of planning and development practices while providing professional and efficient customer service.
The Community Development Department is responsible for working with the citizens of Norcross, the development community, Boards and Commissions and the Elected Officials while managing current and long-range planning, land development, building construction, and economic development.

- LCI Study & Proposed Meeting Schedule - The City of Norcross is partnering with the Atlanta-based engineering firm Pond & Company to update its Living Centers Initiative (LCI) Study. In addition to the Pond team and City staff, this process will involve community stakeholders including local business owners, local commercial property owners, local developers and residents.
