Applications for Service

To apply for utility service with the City of Norcross (within the city limits only),  click on the "Application for Service" button located on the page, and you will be directed to the proper forms needed.  Residential Customers should complete the Residential Application and the Commercial Customers will complete the Commerical Application.  Both Residential and Commerical Customers should sign and date a copy of the Application Cover Letter (a required document).  Once the applications are completed, a copy may be faxed to the Customer Service area 770-448-5945 or 678-421-2002  with the following items:

1.  Government issued ID (make sure the photo copy is clear)

2. Copy of a signed lease agreement dated no more than 60 days old (Property Owners would send a copy of their settlement agreement or a copy of their tax records)

For Residential Customers, there is a deposit that will be required if you are renting/leasing, and that deposit is determined by what services we offer for the said address.  Property Owners do not have to pay a deposit as long as ownership can be shown.  The deposits for Electric is $250,  and no deposit is required for Residential Solid Waste Service.  Commercial Solid Waste deposits are based on the size of the dumpster requested, so please contact the Billing Technician at 770-448-2122 for the amount. Commercial Residents follow the same Electric and Water/Sewer deposits as listed above.  Services will be effective the next business day unless otherwise noted for a later date.

To disconnect service, complete the Request for Disconnect form located at the bottom of the page.  If you are faxing the document in, please include a copy of your photo id as verification that you are the person who originally set the services up.  Without the ID, we will not be able to accept the faxed document and the request will have to be made in person at City Hall.
