COVID-19 Testing Now Open to Those with Symptoms–No Doctor Referral Required

Due to the increased availability of testing supplies, COVID-19 testing is now open to those with symptoms at Gwinnett, Newton & Rockdale County Health Departments's drive-thru COVID-19 Specimen Collection sites! A doctor's referral is no longer required, though you MUST have a scheduled appointment–this ensures enough test kits are available. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday, call 770-513-5631.

As this situation continues to evolve, we encourage you to carefully monitor the CDCGeorgia Department of Public Health, and the county health offices. The State of Georgia also has a new COVID-19 hotline (see below). If you believe that you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to the novel coronavirus, please contact your primary care doctor, an urgent care clinic or your local federally qualified healthcare center. Please do not show up unannounced at an emergency room or health care facility.
