Vacation Security Checks

Heading out of town? Let us help keep an eye on things while you relax. The Norcross Police Department offers a Vacation Security Check service for residents who will be away from home for two nights or more. While you're enjoying your getaway, our officers will make periodic checks of your property—as time and resources allow—to provide an added layer of security and peace of mind.

Please note the following:

• This service is available only to residents within Norcross city limits.

• Vacation checks are now limited to a 30-day period.

• The property must be unoccupied for the entire duration of the requested check period. If someone will be staying at the property, it will not qualify for this service.

• If you return home earlier than planned, you are required to notify the Norcross Police Department so the security checks can be canceled.

• Security checks are conducted on an “as available” basis, depending on the volume and nature of calls that the patrol shift is handling. We cannot guarantee that checks will be conducted at specific times of day or a minimum number of times during your absence.
