Norcross Housing Authority (NHA)

Mission

The mission of the Norcross Housing Authority is to provide safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations in the City of Norcross to persons of low income at rental rates that they can afford.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Norcross Housing Authority shall have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Pursuant to the authority provided in the Housing Authorities Law, the Norcross Housing Authority creates policy and administers them as needed to provide a safe and affordable home for low-income individuals.  State law reference— Housing Authorities Law, O.C.G.A. § 8-3-1 et seq.

Meetings

NHA meetings are held on the third Friday of each even month at 10:30 a.m. in the City Hall 2nd Floor Conference Room.

Members

The NHA consists of five commissioners serving five-year terms and one resident commissioner appointed annually. The resident commissioner must be a tenant of the housing authority.
