This section is responsible for the management of departmental records, accident, and arrest reports generated by the Norcross Police Department. The Records Clerks are supervised by Communications/Records Supervisor Taylor Johnson.
Records personnel also serve as the liaison with various judicial agencies related to the prosecution of persons arrested, the Uniform Crime Reporting management, and compliance with State of Georgia Open Records and Record Retention laws.
Open Records Requests
Open Records Requests can be submitted online at JustFOIA, or from the Records Department in person, via email request to email@example.com, or by phone at 770-448-2111. After the first 15 minutes is it $17.17 per hour.
The Records Department is open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Incident reports are available within 3-5 business days and may be requested online at JustFOIA, from the Records Department in person, or via email (only with a personal email address; send email to firstname.lastname@example.org). Criminal History Check
With a Criminal History Request Form signed by the individual to be checked and valid identification, the Norcross Police Department can perform a criminal history check only within the State of Georgia for a $20 fee. Contact Records at 770-448-2111.
The individual MUST appear in person to our Records Department with a completed Records Restriction Form, a Georgia Criminal history, identification, certified copy of the disposition. The cost is $25.
